Sinossi: A San Lupo, un paesino della provincia di Benevento, da qualche tempo spariscono i bambini. La polizia crede si tratti di un pedofilo ma la gente del paese ha paura che a portare via i loro figli sia la Janara, una strega. Esiste infatti un’antica leggenda su una Janara messa al rogo mentre era incinta, la quale avrebbe maledetto gli abitanti del paese e i loro figli. Marta e Alessandro sono una giovane coppia che aspetta un figlio da poche settimane. Di passaggio a San Lupo per delle questioni testamentarie legate alla morte del nonno di lei, si trovano invischiati in una faccenda dai contorni sempre più macabri. Mentre l’ennesima sparizione fa scoppiare una psicosi nel paese, Marta capisce che il suo legame con la leggenda della Janara è tutt’altro che lontano. La voglia di scappare via è grande, ma più forte è il desiderio di fermare questo spirito che si impossessa del bene più prezioso delle famiglie. Per farlo però, dovrà mettere in gioco la sua vita e quella del bambino che porta in grembo.

Synopsis: In San Lupo, a village in the province of Benevento, children are disappearing. The Police believe that it is a pedophile, but the townspeople are afraid that the one who kidnaps their children is the Janara.  There is an ancient legend about a Janara, a witch, burned at the stake when she was pregnant, she cursed the villagers and their young ones. Marta and Alessandro are a young couple recently expecting a baby. They arrive at the village after her grandfather’s death to address the issues related to will, and are embroiled in an affair with increasingly gruesome contours. While another disappearance creates a psychosis in the small village, Marta realizes that her bond with the legend of Janara cams from an ancient past. The urge to run away is great, but the desire to stop this spirit that takes possession of the most valuable asset of households, is also strong. To do it, however, she will have to stake her life and the one of the child she is carrying.
