Fantafestival 45: Fantapitch is back

After the success of the previous edition, for its 45th year Fantafestival invites directors, screenwriters and authors who are Italian or resident in Italy and are looking for a production to participate to the Fantapitch, the first pitch dedicated exclusively to the fantastic genre.

For more information or to participate in the selections simply access the FilmFreeway platform.

To submit your work, you must be registered on the platform (registration is free). Pitches are accepted for feature films, short films and documentaries on fantasy themes (horror, science fiction, fantasy and similar genres).

Each project must be presented with a pitch deck composed of the following materials: synopsis (maximum 1 page), notes on the project (maximum 1 page), biographical sheet of the author (maximum 1 page) and a photographic or drawn moodboard in order to understand the tone of the work (maximum 1 page).

All the material must be included in a single PDF file no larger than 10 Mb.

The rules are the same as the last edition: the ten best works selected by the Fantafestival editorial staff will have the opportunity to be presented in front of an audience of production companies interested in the genre. The authors will have a 10-minutes slot during which to illustrate their work and in case of interest they can then discuss it separately and directly with the production companies.

The list of production companies that will participate will be published on the Fantafestival website about a week before the event.

Submissions end on September 30th. The presentation will take place in Rome at the festival venues on the opening day, on Wednesday November 26th. There will be no refund for travel and accommodation expenses for the authors.
