New dates for Fantafestival, which, thanks to Velvet Movie srl, the event’s production company, adds five days of programming to those previously announced.
To celebrate its forty-fifth anniversary, the 2025 edition of the Fantafestival will take place from November 21st to 30th at Spazio Scena, in Via degli Orti d’Alibert 1.
The festival, produced in collaboration with Sfera sas and InGenereCinema.com, with artistic direction by Marcello Rossi and Luca Ruocco, has recently closed the submissions for the competing works, bringing together a universe of fantastic cinema and creativity from 62 different countries just waiting to meet the audience in theaters: 107 feature films, 562 short films and 163 projects for the Fantapitch.
The countdown to the official program has just begun, but Fantafestival is already redoubling its commitment to seeking out the most interesting titles and authors in the contemporary fantasy scene, not to mention the great masters and cult films that have shaped the genre’s history internationally.
The 45th edition of the International Science Fiction and Fantasy Film Festival promises double movies, double guests, numerous editorial presentations, an exhibition, and even more nightmares, scares, wonders, bizarre creatures, and spaceships than usual!
Fantafestival 45, promoted by Roma Capitale, has won the public tender for the creation of initiatives of interest to the Capitoline Administration on the occasion of the 2025 Jubilee in collaboration with Zètema Progetto Cultura.
