All the awards of the 43rd edition

During the closing ceremony of the 43rd Fantafestival, the prizes awarded by the jury were announced:

Silver Bat for the best international short film to FLASHBACK BEFORE DEATH, for the ability to investigate the recesses of consciousness with undoubted mastery and visual suspense, mixing different languages.

Silver Bat for the best Italian short film to L’ISOLA DEI RESUSCITATI MORTI, for the taste for quotations and the philological rigor with which it was able to pay homage to a successful season of horror made in Italy.

Special Mention from the Jury for EIGHT EYES, for the desire to talk about the wounds still unresolved in the Balkan landscape today, drawing on the language of genre and arthouse cinema of the 70s.

Golden Bat for best fantasy feature film to VIKING. An original idea carried out with coherence and elegance, combining the rigor of the staging with a sense of alienating fun that raises questions about human beings and cinema.

The Golden Bat for Lifetime Achievement was awarded on the evening of Saturday 7th to the actress, producer and director Stefania Casini, for her contribution to the history of (also) fantasy cinema, both in Italy and internationally.
