For the 46th edition of Fantafestival, Fantapitch returns, the first Italian pitch entirely dedicated to fantastic genre cinema. This event is designed to connect emerging authors and professionals with production companies interested in new projects in horror, science fiction, fantasy, and related genres.
Fantapitch is aimed at screenwriters and directors residing in Italy who wish to submit unreleased short or feature-length projects, whether fiction, animation, or documentary, intended for the national and international market.
The selected projects will have the opportunity to be presented live in Rome in November 2026, during a day of the 46th Fantafestival, in front of an audience of producers and industry professionals. Each author will have seven minutes to discuss their project and open up new professional opportunities.
Fantapitch represents a real opportunity to present your project to production companies active in genre cinema, create professional connections with authors and producers, and compete for the first time for the 2026 Fantapitch Award, assigned by a special testimonial judge.
At the end of the pitch session, the authors will also have the opportunity to meet the producers during a networking aperitif, encouraging dialogue and the development of new collaborations.
