Fantapitch

Please note that the Fantapitch are only in Italian language and are reserved for Italian authors only.

The Fantapitch is the first Italian pitch entirely dedicated to the fantastic genre. This event is designed to connect emerging authors and professionals with production companies interested in new projects in horror, science fiction, fantasy, and related genres.

The Fantapitch is aimed at authors, screenwriters, and directors living in Italy who wish to submit unreleased short or feature-length projects, whether of fiction, animation, or documentary genre, intended for the national and international markets.

Selected projects have the opportunity to be presented live in Rome during the Fantafestival, in front of an audience of producers and industry professionals. The Fantapitch therefore represents a real opportunity to present your project to production companies active in genre cinema and to build professional connections with authors and producers.

At the end of the pitch session, all authors can also meet the producers during a networking aperitif, encouraging dialogue and the creation of new collaborations.

To participate to the Fantapitch, you must use the Filmfreeway platform, sending a PDF document, a “Pitch Deck,” consisting of 5 pages plus a cover, which includes: a logline (a brief summary of the story, max 300 characters), a detailed synopsis (max 1,800 characters), notes from the author(s) (max 1,800 characters), a moodboard (a collage of visual elements that can provide a clear vision of the tone and atmosphere of the project) and the biography of the author(s) (max 1,800 characters).
