1. Cos’è il Fantafestival?
Il Fantafestival è un festival dedicato al cinema fantastico, che include fantascienza, horror, fantasy e i generi affini (paranormale, thriller, etc…). All’interno del Fantafestival trovano spazio, oltre a film e cortometraggi, anche serie TV e web-series, fumetti, videogiochi, iniziative editoriali, insomma tutto quanto ha a che vedere con il fantastico. Il Fantafestival è il più longevo festiva italiano dedicato al cinema fantastico e si svolge dal 1981.
2. Dove e quando si svolge?
Il Fantafestival si svolge a Roma, anche se occasionalmente ha visitato molte altre città d’Italia (Milano, Ravenna, Napoli, Verona e Genova). Il luogo e le date esatte vengono annunciate su questo sito in genere uno o due mesi prima dell’inizio del festival.
3. Quanto costa il biglietto?
Il costo del biglietto di ingresso al festival è di 4 €.
4. Dove posso comprare i biglietti?
I biglietti possono essere acquistati direttamente al cinema, prima dell’inizio dello spettacolo. Alternativamente possono essere acquistati on-line direttamente sul sito del cinema.
5. Dove posso vedere il programma?
Il programma del Fantafestival viene pubblicato su questo sito, in genere 1-2 settimane prima dell’inizio del festival.
6. In che lingua sono le proiezioni?
Le proiezioni sono o in lingua italiana o in lingua originale con i sottotitoli in italiano. Le proiezioni in lingua italiana possono avere i sottotitoli in inglese. Sul programma del festival viene sempre riportata la lingua e i sottotitoli della proiezione.
7. Come sono fatte le proiezioni?
Tutte le proiezioni del Fantafestival sono in digitale in 2K. Vengono proiettati sia DCP (Digital Cinema Package, il moderno supporto del cinema digitale), che file, utilizzando un Media Player professionale.
8. Ho realizzato un film o un corto, come posso fare per mandarvelo?

9. Quali premi assegna il Fantafestival?
Dal 2012 il Fantafestival assegna ogni il Pipistrello d’Oro, per il miglior film e per il miglior corto. Di anno in anno poi possono essere attivate altre categorie di premi.

All the Fantafestival’s screenings are in digital 2K. Both DCP (Digital Cinema Package, the modern digital cinema support) and files are used, with a professional Media Player for the files.

9. What prizes does the Fantafestival award?
Starting from 2012, the Fantafestival awards the Golden Bat, for the best film and for the best short. Other prize categories may be activated from year to year.
